A busy one way street in front of the house was causing an issue both during the day and night, from car lights glaring in the house from the driveway at night and at the front where it was open and gave little privacy to the garden.
We planted some pleached evergreen trees just running in line with the wall to keep the look of the wall and not fill out into the driveway as space is limited. Along the front of the house in the raised gardens we removed the old yew hedge planted by another landscaper, which had been poorly planted and was far too deep causing it to die. This was replaced with some small 1.5m high yew hedging elements to form a new hedge line to screen off from pedestrians and the cars on the road.
The result was very good, gaining back more garden privacy and stopping the glare of the traffic at night.
